A note on one cashier question
Solana casino mobile payments: wallet apps, codes and the browser inside a wallet
There are three practical ways to move SOL from a phone to a cashier, and they differ in where a mistake can be made rather than in how fast the network is.
Copying an address between two apps
The most common route and the one with the most room for error. The address is copied from the cashier and pasted in the wallet, and the check is the first and last few characters. Nothing about the network changes this, since the transfer is the same however the address got there.
Scanning a code from another screen
A code on a laptop screen scanned by a phone removes the clipboard. It also hides the address inside an image, so the wallet's confirmation screen is where to read it. If the wallet shows a shortened address, compare its ends with the cashier's.
A browser inside the wallet app
Some wallet apps include a browser. Using it for a cashier keeps everything on one screen, but it is a different environment from the browser a cashier was tested in, and a page that behaves in one can fail in the other. If the page misbehaves, the safe move is to leave and use the first route instead.
Quick answers
Is scanning a code safer than copying an address?
It avoids retyping and clipboard mistakes, but the address inside the image still has to be read on the wallet's confirmation screen.
Can I use a wallet's built-in browser for a casino cashier?
Sometimes. Pages can behave differently in it, and if one does, switching to a normal browser and copying the address is the cautious option.
