Solana casino on a phone: how a deposit moves between two apps
On a phone a Solana deposit is usually a trip between two apps: the cashier shows an address, the wallet sends to it. The network is fast enough that the trip is the slow part, and a few things about that trip are worth knowing.
How does a Solana deposit work on a phone?
The cashier shows the coin, the network and an address, often with a code that a wallet can scan. The wallet app takes the address, asks for an amount, shows a fee, and asks you to approve. After that the transfer is on the network, and the cashier credits the balance by its own rule. If the wallet and the cashier are on the same phone, the address is usually passed by copying it, which makes the next two sections matter.
The signing window
Before a transfer is signed, the wallet attaches a recent blockhash, and the network accepts that reference only for roughly 60 to 90 seconds, by Solana's own documentation. A transaction whose reference is too old is not processed. Wallets differ in when they attach it, so a transfer prepared and then left on a confirm screen can lapse. The usual result is that nothing moves and no funds leave, and the fix is to prepare it again.
Copying an address on a small screen
Wallets and cashiers shorten long strings with dots in the middle, which hides the part where a mistake would be. Cloudbet's own settings describe a SOL address as 32 to 44 characters from a base58 alphabet, which leaves out the characters zero, capital O, capital I and lowercase l, and base58 is case-sensitive. Check the first and last few characters in the wallet against the cashier, and prefer copying to retyping.
Returning to the cashier
When you come back, the balance may not have changed yet. That is normal for a few seconds and tells you little. The balance moves when the operator credits you, and a notification can lag behind it. A wallet's own history shows the transfer as sent as soon as the network has it, which is a different fact from the cashier having credited it.
Quick answers
How long do I have to approve a Solana transfer?
The network accepts a transaction's blockhash reference for roughly 60 to 90 seconds. Wallets differ in when they attach it, so approve soon after preparing the transfer.
Why does my wallet say sent but the cashier shows nothing?
Because sending and crediting are two stages. The wallet reports the first, and the operator's cashier decides the second.
